Deion Sanders (HC Colorado)

Forgive me if I'm wrong, and my memory is a little hazy on all this, but wasn't the last time Colorado was good it was when the QB knocked up the coaches daughter and then keeled over dead. (I think Les Miles killed him, thus making Les Miles the unborn son's legal guardian under the Napoleonic Code and then the kid ended up playing QB for Miles at LSU, where Miles had to go to have the French Laws apply)

So, that's pretty much the same thing two more times, right?

(No? Ah well, they're gonna totally still suck btw)

And now he's an assistant for the Browns.

Friends were in from Denver last weekend. I broke the news to them that CU had a new football coach. Not.even.joking.

Broncos fans no doubt.

If you look at a map, you would think Boulder and Denver are close.
But due to zoning games, culture issues, etc .... even in CO, Boulder has a reputation that not everyone wants to be associated with.
If an event is in Boulder, people usually grumble. It's easier to get to CO Springs than Boulder sometimes... though the Springs is farther away, it has the mainline of I25 traffic and doesn't play games with reduced lanes or speed traps.

I lived in Aurora and Co Springs and I maybe saw 3 CU hats or shirts. I saw more CSU gear which was still below using both hands to count them. They couldn't care less for CFB.

My HOA in Aurora sent me a letter to take down my Ohio State flag in the fall. They dropped it after I sent them pics of Broncos flags everywhere for a week straight. Beautiful state but full of arrogant douche canoes.

Also, fuck TTUN.
I want the likes

News Flash: And the recruits that Deion Sanders didn't want were messing with his future. It's a tough break initially, but the recruits are better off elsewhere rather than being stuck where they aren't wanted.

it is a tough break depending on other options.

but difference is Deion got to choose where he was going and these kids didn't.
and to find out this late in the game that you no longer have an offer is really fucked up.

Multiple Power Five programs reportedly had interest in Deion Sanders this offseason, but the former Jackson State coach chose to jump to Colorado. Sanders does not have roots in the state and largely has cleaned up in recruiting in the Southeast, although that has not stopped "Coach Prime" from immediately raking in multiple high-level prospects on behalf of the Buffaloes. In an interview on Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast, Sanders said Colorado athletic director Rick George made the difference regarding why he chose CU.

"He is the reason I'm here, because I met with others — several others," Sanders said. "But he was the difference. He was the difference. You've gotta understand, this is unlikely for me. I'm from Florida, then lived in Texas. All this [cold weather]? Come on. I've never played in snow. Fourteen years (in the NFL), never played in the snow."
