Question for a Buddhist out there:

If all of your team are in jail and you have to forfeit a game is it the same as that leaf falling in a forest with no one there kind of thing?

The truth is both coaches have soiled their pants!
And soiled their respective programs. :(
Their egos are ruining to once proud football teams.
This is an object lesson in the destructive power of the ego. Pay attention to how this turns out.

ESPN - Desire to coach still drives 81-year-old Paterno - College Football

Desire to coach still drives 81-year-old Paterno

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- There is the eight-year-old Paterno Library, which will serve students at Penn State University for decades to come.

There is the interfaith spiritual center on campus, and the scholarships and faculty chairs, all endowed, financially and emotionally, by Joe and Sue Paterno.

All serve as testament to the impact the football coach has had on Penn State, and all are redundant. Penn State already had a building that captured what Paterno has meant to this university in his 58 years here. It is at the center of campus, looming over the green that extends nearly to Harrisburg. It is the heart and soul of the Penn State.

There I was, stuck on the portajohn at Ohio Stadium
in yet another embarrassing moment...

Hi, I'm Joe Paterno. It's not easy coaching a team like the Penn
State Nittany Lions. Week after week, the stress of not knowing who will
be arrested, having to face teams like Ohio State...it's enough to put
that old sphicter muscle through its paces.

Let's be honest, getting old ain't easy either. You get up in the morning
and things are hurting all over.
Hair that used to grow there, now grows over here.
Things start moving South with SEC speed.
Heck, some guys gotta worry about bruising their knees.

But, if you're like me, the thing that really upsets you is
leakage. It always happens at the wrong time, when you're under
pressure. And, believe me, playing away games in the Big Ten can put
you under lots of pressure.

Do what I do, use Depend. Depend is dependable. If it's one of those
days where you have a little accident, no one else needs to know and
you can get on with enjoying the precious days you have left,
without embarrassment.

Depend. Try it.
I'm not shitting you. Don't shit yourself.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Joe Paterno doesn't think Penn State's recruiting will be negatively affected by his uncertain contract status.

When the subject comes up with a high school prospect, the 81-year-old Paterno said Saturday, he "tells them exactly what I think. I hope I'm going to coach here, while you're here, I may not ... who knows what's going to happen?

"I think we had a heck of a year recruiting," Paterno said before the Blue-White spring scrimmage.

if you ever start feeling sorry for them, just think of us poor guys in PA who have to deal with these assholes 24/7

Props to that from Reading, PA, bro...

These are some of the most deluded and insular fans this side of South Bend.
