DE Walter "Scooter" Dublin (official thread)

according to "ryan", a poster here at bp, who claims to be close to the team, scooter is going to transfer to fsu. i wonder if there is some kind of family issue or some sort that requires him to be closed to home... or home-sick.... all in speculation i guess...

Let's avoid the speculation please.

Best of luck to Walter - never good to lose a player... I'm also sad that there will never be a starting lineup bookended by Worthington and Dublin.

On the bright side, this opens up a scholly in a constrained year with alot of HS talent.

Scooter has Landed!

At the 'other Blue Devils' Div 1-AA Central Connecticut. We are real excited to have a player of this caliber come over. We most certainly will welcome him with open arms and I know he will make a name for himself and will be a top player in the NorthEast Conference almost immedately. It looks like zero play time and not even existing on the deph chart probably caused him to look elsewhere. He wont have that problem at ccsu. ( remember, we played you guys in hoops NCAAS last year. )

I went to a Sarasota high school game this past fall. One of the guys I talked to said; Scooter was at last week's game and was "huge". He said Scooter had already been passed up on the depth chart by another soph.
and Scooter didn't think his chances were good of ever starting. Long story short; playing time was the issue.

Scooter out at CCSU

Just got word that shortly after Walter played in the Spring Game at CCSU. He was tossed from the school. No real details just he was in his 2nd semester and then gone.

Its super unfortunate that he never played a down here at Central.

Looks like he made the move to a pro-level.
