Not trying to bring the mood down but why does scout have dublin and chimdi rated so low when the state of florida rated them the 3rd and 7th best at their respective positions in the entire state. Is it just from a lack of knowledge by scout or are the guys just burried on bad teams? They both sound great though and would love to see them in the scarlett in gray.

You may be right but you also have to take into account that the rankings on rival and scout are in relation to the other players in that position in the other 49 states.

Hopefully lagunasurf will post over here what he posted on the BN$ board. It was the most brilliant description of why you should put little or no stock in the national rankings by Scout or Rivals...

I'll paraphrase a great post from LagunaSurf on BN$ that I only hope he re-posts over here...

Scout and Rivals claim to watch all of the film...they do not. They claim to be experts...most are not. Trust the staff who watches ALL of the film when making an assessment.

I agree with all of that. If they were good enough evaluators of talent, they'd either be on major D-I college staffs themselves, or would be getting paid by them to evaluate talent, like John McCallister.

Just a little off-topic, but if Emfinger is so trusted and is actually an accurate evelautor of talent, should we start using his star system vice those of Rivals and Scout on our Prospect/Commit Chart (database)?
