McMullen and Lewis said they recall meeting Pittman at an OSU camp during the summer.
Pittman said his top five schools right now are Ohio State, West Virginia, Florida, Miami and Alabama.
''As of right now, I don't look at it or think about it that much because it is a distraction,'' said Pittman, who is 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds. ''When the season is over, my eyes and attention will turn to the college stuff. During the season, it is all about what we are doing at McKinley.''
Pittman said he is considering West Virginia because former McKinley star linebacker Jewone Snow is a freshman there, but he also revealed he is quite fond of Tressel.
''He is a very humble guy,'' Pittman said of Tressel. ''I like talking to him. He basically tells me how big I am every time he sees me. He is a really cool coach and I would love to play for him. He made a big impression on me.''
Miller is the only one of the four that has made a decision, after choosing the Buckeyes this past fall.
''It was close to home, which is nice,'' Miller said. ''They said if I wanted to go to the next level it would be a good fit, and they also have good academic programs.''
Miller and Pittman have chatted about possibly playing together in the Big Ten but are more concerned about the present.
''Probably after this season we will be talking more about it,'' said Miller, who is 6-foot-4 and 242 pounds. ''Being 1-0 every week and staying humble is the most important thing. We want to win state and the Federal League.''
''They're very similar. They are both long, rangy guys. They play with a high motor,'' Johnson said of Miller and Pittman. ''Pitts is a little more demonstrative with his emotions. Stevie is a little more stoic and business-like. They complement each other very well and feed off of each other.''
