DE Nick Bosa (Pro Bowl, All Pro, 2019 ROY, 2022 DPOY, San Francisco 49ers)

Not surprised and look forward to watching him at the next level. Imagine Bosa bros on opposite ends of a defensive line!!! Highly unlikely but could happen and would be amazing to see a legit Bosa sandwich (with cheese). Heal up and good luck at the next level

Bilateral ab tear. Would have been out til December regardless.

Re: John said. The recovery time for that injury is about 12 weeks, putting his return date "well into December."

Just sayin': I know a player and his family has the right to release, not release, and/or when to release any information concerning an injury; however, (since he did reveal the information) it would have been nice if John Bosa would have given this interview 4 weeks ago so nobody would of maintained any hope/expectations of Nick playing anymore for Ohio State this season.

Re: "So as a family, it’s just a horrible decision and just a heartbreaking decision for us," John said. "I think we were going to witness one of the most amazing years a defensive lineman has had here, and obviously Nick was focused. Part of his goals was to see how far we could get through down in the playoffs."

“I’ve trusted the Buckeyes with both of my sons," John said. "We love coach Johnson, we love Urban Meyer, it’s just been a wonderful experience that unfortunately had to end like this. But I know we’re doing the right thing for thing for our son."

And all true Buckeye fans should support that decision too.

:oh:....:io:

I totally understand Bosa's need to fully rehab away from Columbus. Nobody loves Ohio State more than Nick Bosa. Eighty to ninety percent of the Ohio State fans are great. It's the vocal minority that makes it rough. They probably represent only five to ten percent of the fan base, but they are relentless.

Reminds me of something stupid NotreDameChief said once about how he'd rather have 4 years of Luke Harangody(sp) instead of 1 year of Greg Oden. I'm still taking Greg Oden every time I'm given that option.

(not saying that what you said is or isn't stupid....just that NDC is empirically stupid)
I hope you're enjoying that orange creme margarita in NDC's memory.

Obviously sucks for the fans but I don't blame him. I would do the same thing. If I was guaranteed to make tens of millions of dollars in the spring with or without school, you wouldn't catch me in class in an Ohio winter either. You would catch me on the beach in Florida training like Rocky in Rocky 3, which is what I assume Nick will be doing.

One of my co-workers (TTUN fan) came into my office talking about Bosa leaving and that ESPiN stated Bosa said something along the lines of not wanting to play for a coach that values wins over health. Nobody linked it here and no way I visit the worldwide leader. Was he full of shit?

Todd McShay's Top 32 for 2019 NFL draft: Ranking best prospects

i

1. Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State*

Grade: 95 | Height: 6-foot-4 | Weight: 263 | Previous: 1

An elite talent (with elite bloodlines), Bosa isn't just a gifted pass-rusher; he always knows where the ball is and is active against the run. He projects best as a 4-3 defensive end in the NFL but is scheme-versatile with his length and power. Bosa had six tackles for loss (TFL) and four sacks in three games before suffering an abdominal injury against TCU on Sept. 15. He announced he will withdraw from school to focus on recovery and preparing for the draft. This isn't the type of injury that will worry NFL scouts.

That's good news for Nick.

Not that I condone engaging with morons but if you do, I always prefer destroying their stupid ass:

“I’ve trusted the Buckeyes with both of my sons," John said. "We love coach Johnson, we love Urban Meyer, it’s just been a wonderful experience that unfortunately had to end like this.

If he's as bright as I'd expect, explain to him that "John" is John Bosa, the father of not just Nick but Joey Bosa as well.

If he is fuzzy on the concept of "father" or how that whole dynamic plays out just tell him to go fuck himself for 9 months and see what happens.
