DE Joey Bosa (Def ROY, 3x Pro Bowl, Los Angeles Chargers)

PFF SCOUTING REPORT: JOEY BOSA, DE, OHIO STATE

Bottom line:
Bosa’s production was as good as it gets in the country the last two years and he’s the best player in the draft. He’s versatile enough to move around the defensive line, providing strong run defense and an effective pass rusher, though a 4-3 scheme will make best use of his talents.

Just saw on the ESPN ticker that Mel Kiper projects Bosa to be the 6th pick in the draft. Has this guy ever gotten anything right?

You wouldn't happen to know who he had going 1-5 would you?

I'm assuming he had the Browns taking a QB and I would guess Tunsil would be in those first 5 but who else would he have ahead of Bosa? Smith from ND? Just off the top of my head, I'm drawing blanks.

Edit: so I went to ESPN to try and find it but I'm not an "insider" so that info is off limits to a non insider such as myself. I was able to see the first 3 picks and it was Tunsil, Carson Wentz (sorry Carson/sorry Cleveland) and then a DE from Oregon, DeForest Buckner. A DE...from Oregon. The write up said him and Bosa will grade out similarly but Buckner was a better fit. Sure...Kiper, smoking on a Geoffery.

Tunsil at #1 seems to be the foregone conclusion because he's protection for Tennessee's investment in Mariota, and tackles like Tunsil don't come around very often. Some scouts have even said that if you don't currently have an All-Pro LT, Tunsil is probably an upgrade over anyone you have. Cleveland will, of course, throw the second pick in the trash, set it on fire, then piss on it, so that'll be one of the completely uninspiring QBs in this years draft.

Bosa most likely goes somewhere between 3 to 6; most common projection I've read recently is Dallas or Jacksonville with the 4 or 5 pick.

JOEY BOSA: 'I DO BELIEVE I'M THE BEST PLAYER IN THE DRAFT'

Joey Bosa believes he is the best player in the 2016 NFL Draft, and isn't shying away from letting his future employers know it.

"I do believe I'm the best player in the draft," Bosa said Friday when he met the media at the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. "There's of course a lot of amazing players in the draft and it's going to be up to Tennessee to make that decision. But I think as a top player, if you don't believe that then there's something wrong."

The Titans hold the top pick in April's draft, and they no doubt will pick Bosa's brain and watch him closely when he does drills Saturday. Bosa said he intends to do every drill at the combine, but also plans to make the Titans and other teams near the top of the draft board know he deserves to be considered in a class my himself.

"If they’re going to go out on a limb and pick me and give me all that money and pick me No. 1 over all those guys, they gotta feel confident that I’m the best," Bosa said.

The two-time Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year and All-American never was short on confidence in his three years at Ohio State. As he stood at the podium in a room filled to the brim with anxious reporters, Bosa stayed true.

He offered a casual "Sup?" before the first question came, shared his appreciation for Larry Johnson and Ohio State and joked about needing to marry a "tall, athletic girl" in order to keep the Bosa football pipeline moving. Bosa's uncle and father played in the NFL, and his younger brother is rumored to be better than he was at this point in his career. Nick is set to enroll at Ohio State this summer.

Bosa covered all the bases in his 10-minute session, even politely deferring a question about his suspension for the first game of 2015 for breaking a team rule by saying he planned to address that with NFL teams. He offered a smile, jokes and spoke in his lighthearted tone fans grew to love in Columbus.

"I missed the media. I haven't been out in front of you guys in a while," Bosa said. "After meeting with a bunch of NFL coaches, you guys are nothing."

I'm watching OL drills at the combine. I have no idea what makes a good OL at all, but you can just tell Tunsil is just that much better than anybody else. Insane athlete for that size.

Yeah, Tunsil is blowing through the lateral/agility drills like a rush end or LB. Just an unreal athlete. You cannot train the kind of balance and reaction time he's demonstrating at the combine.

Joey Bosa has a plan for breeding his own line of NFL talent

The two-time Smith-Brown Defensive Lineman of the Year Award winner (2014, 2015) will almost certainly get picked before his father John Bosa did in 1987 when the Miami Dolphins took him 16th overall.

Any chance the Bosas can manage a third generation of NFL talent like the Matthews family (Clay, Bruce, Clay Sr.)? Bosa was asked at the Combine on Friday about pressure that might be on his offspring:
