Good chance it was no accident. If he tells Oregon he is coming and an Oregon coach or insider leaks the news to 247 why not run with it? These sites don't wait for written permission.

Then JTTs camp sees it and insists they take it down.

I think he's a duck.

But what do I know.

If he is a duck and there is a NIKE connection the implications for the impact of NIL on recruiting just got real interesting.

And then no one will wear Nike if that's disclosed as the reason.... that'd be real dumb on Nikes part if that's the case.

I've seen a lot of momentum to Oregon too and wouldn't be shocked if he selects them. I think that'd be the wrong choice but I'm biased obviously. If I'm being 100% honest within the next 2 months theres no way JTT gets himself ready to impact games 1-5. Maybe some snaps but not like 30+ I've always thought once he gets his legs under him he'll make an impact. Even with us for example I'd be shocked if he were to cut into Sawyers reps first few games.

Sawyers been through a winter conditioning, spring ball vs 2 of the best tackles in college and now summer conditioning too. I really hope JTT picks OSU but IMO JTT is going to take off later in the season no matter where he goes. He's just missed too much time.

Seems a tad like a reach. But I wont deny this definitely smells like a letdown

They don't run with it because they're hosting the announcement stream tomorrow. Why would they spoil their own event? The only reason they intentionally do it is to generate more interest.
