akron ST.V/OSU PLAYER. My cousins best friend in high school. He was a great guy when I knew him and never would have thought about him doing something like that.:(

12, 14, 16.5 whatever, if convicted Simmons is done, stick a fork in him. Even if he gets out, the sex offender label will be hanging over his head forever. I hope this turns out to be false for his sake.

CLAYTON ? Clayton police arrested a 36-year-old Northmont Middle School teacher Tuesday after gathering evidence that the man had sexual contact with a 14-year-old female student on three separate occasions since May.

Jason Simmons, a former Ohio State football captain who lives in Huber Heights, was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and is being held pending review of the case by local prosecutors. Gale Mabry, superintendent of Northmont schools, said the teacher has been placed on administrative leave until his case is resolved.

Jason was as good as any college DE in the country when at OSU. Undersized for the NFL, though. He was really doing good in his coaching career at Northmont, too. That program has become something the last few years under Schneider and Simmons. I'm sure he had a lot to do with persuading Coleman our way. It's probably not a false accusation, though...

As a Northmont grad and an OSU grad all I can say is "Ugh...thanks for representing us so well". I'd like to think this isn't true, but it's not looking good for Mr. Simmons.
