Durham Hillside linebacker Jamal Marcus, our No. 5 prospect, is scheduled to visit East Carolina this weekend and UNC on Jan. 27.

He's also considering a visit to Florida or Ohio State, the latter where former Tar Heel interim coach Everett Withers is now the defensive coordinator.

Whether or not we land Marcus, you can just see the difference in recruiting (aside from all the other success) in his recruitment. Basically looked like a done deal not to visit/commit to OSU, UFM turns up the heat instead of backing off, and he will be here next weekend. Love it.

FYI, I saw Florida as being the main threat here. Apparently they are not as much of a threat as I once thought. Ohio State ALWAYS has a chance when Urban gets a kid on campus for an official.
