There are multiple guys with 5 sacks already so this seems strange. They also have Jack for only 1 total sack as well which is 3rd on the team.

It’s like an “almost a sack” lol…

I’d like to see someone else show up though at the end spot to take pressure off Jack.

We have to factor in that teams might be doubling him more often

Initially it does seem silly. I assume it makes it easier to parse out the stats, but I'm not sure why they count sacks as TFL.

They're counted as TFL in college because the negative yardage affects the rushing stats. In the NFL, sacks and TFLs are completely separate stats because sacks actually count as negative passing yardage.

I don't understand - you can hit the QB a split second after he releases the ball (which is what happened). That's not a sack.

All true, but for college defenders yardage means nothing. Its all just a bunch of hooey stats that places like PFF and others can put together to make people fork over hard earned money.

He did. He’s been on a tear for a while. I think a lot of that was lost due to the outcomes of the final two games.
