DC Jim Knowles (Official Thread)

Both LJ and Knowles need to go IMO, sure the DL play has been pretty lacking in the pass rush department ever since Chase Left, but the defensive struggles can't be all summed up to DLine problems which undoubtedly exist. I still don't trust what Knowles is trying to do here, we need those 4-3 tough as nails keep everyone in front of you defenses that characterize Buckeye football. That bend but don't break yet you can't help but to break that Knowles presents is infuriating. It would be a mistake to keep Knowles and fire LJ, only for next year's results to be the same, to me they both need to go. Also if LJ doesn't want to send pressure then Knowles needs to either tell him to fuck off or make changes to the scheme to account for that. Coach Day really needs to talk to them ASAP this high school drama bullshit can't fester any longer.

The days of seeing a straight up 4-3 defense are over unless you're playing a service academy or someone dumb enough to be under center around 80% of the time (Iowa). I didn't read the rest because unless you come to grips with that, none of the rest of it matters.

The gist of the rest they're all grown ups earning millions of dollars to make decisions, and while I think that there are people who are more responsible for the defense's current predicament than others, the truth is they (JK, LJ, RD) are all to blame. And yes I know that what I say here has no bearing in what happens in real life, whether I accept the situation or not, I came to terms with that a long time ago xD.

I am gonna get scorched for this, don't care. I do admit to listening to the much maligned Buckeye Scoop podcast. I realize Nevadabuck is a controversial figure, however, recently he has been on target many times.

Apparently, there was a come to Jesus last Sunday, and there are scheme changes coming.

Seeing is believing…. Tendencies are tendencies…I feel Day reverts to his tendencies more often than nought
