DB Recruiting (Split from Mabin thread)

Saw him on campus walking next to Troy and he looked to be at least an inch if not 2 shorter than Troy, and we all know that 6'1' might be a stretch for Troy.

Because of my coaching, I see these kids every day, whether it's in the library, in the gym, or just walking around campus. And I am well aware that some of the measureables are a touch inflated. Having said that, it is clear that it is all relative, just like I'm sure it is at other schools. Underwood is a bit taller than Amos, who's a bit taller than Jenkins, who's a bit taller than Welch, who's a bit taller than Smith (Antonio, that is).

Yeah, when the play develops. and the WR is in the midst of running his route and the QB throws the ball from about 30 yards away, 2-3" is going to make all the difference in the world. LOL. C'mon pundits - 5'10" to 6'1" is no big deal-just give me the hips, speed, twitch quickness, and hops in a CB. 2-3 inches is hardley a concern in the space a CB and WR operate - even if it is a fade. A perfectly thrown ball will get caught no matter if the DB is 7'0.
