DB Malcolm Jenkins (All B1G, All-American, Thorpe Award, All-Pro, 2x Super Bowl Champion)

OSU5NC

The problem with us recruitniks is that we put too much stock into star ratings. If star rating were so important Michigan would win the NC every other year. Cooper was a great recruiter but IMO JT is a better evaluator of talent. I would rather be ranked #1 in the polls at the end of the season and win the BCS NC than win the recruiting NC.

When looking at this years recruiting class we have 3 players that IMO were extremely underated. Anderson Russel, Malcolm Jenkins, and Brian Robiskie should have all be 4* players. IMO Tressel has a knack for finding these diamonds in the rough. I'd rather have a less touted kid without an ego than a prima donna superstar with an attitude. JT has recruited very well and IMO has done an outstanding job OOS. I GUESS WHEN WE MAKE IT TO THE ROSE BOWL THIS YEAR PEOPLE WILL START BELIEVING IN OUR STAFFS ABILITY TO RECRUIT!!!

Anyone who questions his offer doesn't have to worry because he will be a big time CB at OSU.
... we got a great CB in Jenkins. An excellent recruiting job by our staff. The got a future AA from Jersey.
I'm watching a replay of the Governor's Bowl right now and I wholeheartedly agree. He's got big time talent and has also been the main focus of the commentators. When urged to he even proclaimed we will own Michigan this year in their house. I love this kid.

Football: That's what we get for guessing about the defensive depth chart.

According to Donte Whitner, freshman defensive back Jamario O'Neal has been moved from cornerback to safety and is sharing reps with Brandon Mitchell as OSU's number one nickel back. The move is apparently made possible by the emergence of fellow incoming freshman Malcolm Jenkins as a playmaking cover corner.

I like that because of Jamario's hitting ability. I do not know what his pass coverage is like, but the hits he laid in his Mansfield video clips were very impressive.

I am very excited to see Malcolm play. He sounds like the next in a long line of outstanding OSU DB's.

Nothing but good news continues to come out about this class.

A few of the experts were right in calling im the sleeper of this class... the VT offer was very telling as they are a top notch CB school.

Nothing better than for Ginn never to be needed at corner.
