Dantonio said he doesn't plan to be on the field during the game but. . .

Michigan State's Mark Dantonio plans to be in a coaching box above the field Saturday when the No. 24 Spartans face No. 11 Wisconsin, just two weeks after he was hospitalized following a mild heart attack.
Dantonio announced his intentions Tuesday after showing up at the team's weekly news conference.
"I'm going to ease back into this much like anybody would after any injury," Dantonio said. "I'm going to listen to our doctors, but I am going to ease back into this and do something daily with our football team."

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio expects to travel with the team for this weekend's game at Michigan as he recovers from a mild heart attack and subsequent blood clot in his leg.

"You can't keep me down Michigan week," Dantonio said to begin a news conference Tuesday. "It's good to be back -- again."

Dantonio had a heart attack Sept. 19 and missed two games. He actually planned to come back last weekend for a home game against Wisconsin to coach from a box above the field, but he was hospitalized Thursday because of the blood clot.

He says he'll probably approach this week the same way as he tries for a second time to return.

This will pay off depending on where he is on the opening kickoff.

He's on the sideline for the coin toss, so it looks like the coaching box plan has changed.

And now he's heading up.
