Dan Hawkins Fired By Colorado

I live in Boulder, and you all have no idea how ecstatic everyone is. Hawkins gone and JC Reincarnated possibly coming back. We just got our first snow last night too. Christmas in November!

CU still really sucks though

Two words: Wade Phillips

Ha. As you likely well know, we've had a bit much of Wade around here.

Good win for CU and especially for Coach Cabral. Hope he gets rehired in Boulder when the dust settles.

Very good win against a team that, up until last weekend against Nebraska, had a shot to win the North. I kinda hope he's retained, as well. He's been here for 20 years so he absolutely deserves a shot at the very least. I don't think he's what brings CU back to prominence, certainly not dominance IMO, but there are a lot of people around campus here that wouldn't complain one bit if he got the job.

Hopefully he can scratch out two more wins and get this team to a bowl game. That would certainly give him a great case to come back next year, but more importantly, what kind of tone does it set for next year when you fire your head coach mid-season but still make it to a bowl game?

This squad has a lot of talent, but the biggest problems have been instability with the coaching staff and poor scheming. I think the higher-ups in the athletic department are starting to realize that.
