Damon Wilson (DL Georgia, transfer to Mizzou)

Yes! Taking the money now doesn't mean you don't want to still make the NFL and develop. Other schools besides OSU have put players in the league
Oh I don't think he couldn't develop. But he was set to start next year at Georgia and chose to go to Mizzou that's a weird decision. Ohio State, Penn State, Mich, Texas? One could argue he got and is somewhere of equal development/chance to win the NC. I'm not sure any of that is true at Mizzou. He'll probably still be drafted in the 1st round and make a shit ton. Just not maybe top 5-10 and a chance for glory.

It's a new game in CFB. Blue bloods no longer have an advantage when it comes to recruits and transfers. If a second-tier program like Mizzou is willing to pay, that's where he's gonna go. See also, the #1 recruit in the country committing to a program with major sanctions hanging over its head.

Surprised it wasn't Miami or USC moneyh weather and women. ASU would be interesting too. But money goes further in Missouri so there is that

Who says he still can't get drafted in the top 5-10, 3 of the top 5-10 picks this upcoming draft will be from Miami and Colorado. And the chance of glory/NC talk is more a fan's wish than every player caring about that. If every player wanted to win an NC so bad, they wouldn't choose places like Ole Miss, Indiana, Texas Tech, etc. Get paid what you can in a violent sport, that you have 1% of making it to the professional level.
