All in on the Sun Devils!!!! They have won all 5 of their NCAA baseball titles in odd years, and 2009 is as good as any to get another one.

North Carolina should be tough to beat, but we've got a punchers chance.

If you're not watching, I would suggest turning ESPN on because ASU and UNC are going into the 9th tied at 1.

thank god the big bats showed up last night.
Ranaudo had easily his worst performance ever as a Tiger.
Ochinko starting to get a reputation for coming up with the big hit when we need it.
Apparently the UVA pitcher hadn't read the scouting report on Shimpf.
If you throw a 1st pitch fastball cock high with no movement, he's gonna deposit it out in the right field bleachers.

ASU wins! 5-2 over UNC

Great game. 1-1 into the 10th inning when UNC right fielder drops pop fly and then ASU scores 4 runs in the top of the 10th.

ASU saved their ace Mike Leake for game 2, so it was a good win with ASU's number 2 pitcher on the mound.

I don't understand how ASU has a weak closer when their closer is a freshman all-american with a 9-3 record and 2.78 ERA?

Also, how does Texas have "far and away" the best staff ERA left in the College World Series with a 2.84 ERA when ASU is rated #1 in the nation at 2.76 era?
