  • It appears that Curtis Martin is done as a player. He is the NFL's 4th leading rusher.

As was reported in the past 2 weeks, Tiki Barber is also looking at retirement at the end of this year.

Marshall Faulk has chronic knee issues and may never return to the field.

Priest Holmes is seeing a specialist this week about this head/neck issues and may never play again as well.

My question, which out of these 4, will be NFL Hall of Famers? Multiple choices allowed....

Barber and Holmes didn't produce long enough to get in, much like TD.

I think that way too but it was worth asking I think....

I'm trying to remember the last time this many good to great Running Backs were either forced into retirement by injury or just walked away altogether in a singular year.......

I was surprised to hear HoF talk about Tiki Barber, until I looked at his career numbers: 9502 yards and 50 TD rushing, 4960 yards and 12 TD receiving. For me 10000 rush yards has always been a HoF-worthy milestone, and while Eddie is no shoo-in with just over 10K, he had less than half the receiving yards Barber does--which alone would make a pretty nice NFL career. I'm not completely sold on Barber, but there's a decent case to be made for him.

Martin and Faulk are sure things; Holmes is out.
