The profit margin shrinks drastically
I have a funny feeling OSU fans will not only out number Oregon fans (which I'm already expecting), but drastically out number them. Maybe like 65/35 or 70/30. Obviously this is just one website (see link below), and still pretty early, but they have traffic being 25% from Ohio and 19% from Oregon. That right there is 57% for OSU. Then factor in that Texas is actually closer to Ohio than it is for Oregon (and surprisingly much closer even though it's still far away for OSU, like twice as close for OSU), so nearby alum/fans will be closer to TX for OSU than for Oregon. Lastly, OSU obviously has many, many more fans, so even in TX there will be many more OSU fans than Oregon fans. If I'm an Oregon fan I'm hoping for a 55/45, maybe 60/40 split for OSU. But it could get crazy.

Edit: Here's another site that says their company (sounds like could be a small company though) had been fielding calls for packages at a 90/10 rate for OSU/Oregon.

They probably inflate that number just like they inflate their graduation numbers for athletes.Unfortunately, it's Ped State...
Do you think Buckeyes are confined to the state of Ohio? Tuesday should be declared a NATIONAL holiday.Tuesday should be declared a statewide holiday

I still don't understand the reasoning in having thsee games on a Monday. Who is the idiot who thinks this is a good idea?Let's not put the cart before the horse here...
And I'm not saying this confrontationally to anyone, but let's cut the holiday crap. Monday and Tuesday aren't going to be holidays. You know why?
Because this is Ohio State.
This is the fourth time in 13 years we're going to be in the National Championship Game. We've been here before... and if history is an indicator, we're going to keep being here in the future. It's just gonna be Monday and Tuesday at the office, y'all.
I think he just means so we don't have to go in to work on Tuesday.Let's not put the cart before the horse here...

Everyone watching at home rather than going to bars - or even a friends house- equals better television rating.I still don't understand the reasoning in having thsee games on a Monday. Who is the idiot who thinks this is a good idea?
Maybe I'm old or it's just because I'm employed but staying up until what will at least be 1:30 -2:00 in the morning and having to go to work the next day doesn't really appeal to me. If I didn't have a horse in the race I would be going to bed most likely around half time. The game should be on a weekend day.Everyone watching at home rather than going to bars - or even a friends house- equals better television rating.
I'm fairly certain that's what Monday nights are all about.
Because they don't want to compete with the NFL playoffs. All about that tv moneyI still don't understand the reasoning in having thsee games on a Monday. Who is the idiot who thinks this is a good idea?
