Eighty-three-year-old Tadeusz "Ted" Jandura stabbed his wife at least 100 times, a deputy prosecutor said in court this morning, asking that the accused murderer be held without bail.
Circuit Judge Derrick Chan granted the request, made after Jandura was indicted by an O'ahu grand jury on a charge of second-degree murder. Jandura is charged under a section of state law which requires a penalty of life without possibility of parole when a murder "was especially heinous, atrocious or cruel, manifesting exceptional depravity."
