God, why does this question come up every year about the best college team and the worst pro team?

No college team would be able to make it out of the game without serious injuries.

I don't think we could beat them, I was just wondering if anyone thought we could. Sorry.

I think its ridiculous to assume that team full of future NFL players couldn't at least compete with a team of current NFL players. To say that we would do nothing but suffer injury after injury and would get blown off the field by a team as disorganized and directionless as Oakland is right now is kind of short sighted.

How many on this roster right now are projected to play in the NFL, have the size and speed to play in the NFL, and will at least sign a free agent contract with an NFL team?

Would Ohio State win? I seriously doubt it. But to assume they wouldn't have even a glimmer of hope is just wrong.

Back in 2002 Chris Spielman was asked about the then presumed-best-college-team, Miami, and the then presumed-worst-pro-team, Cinci.

He emphatically stated that the Bungles would beat the 'Canes by FORTY (emphasis his). He said that apart from more time for the strength positions to get strong (a LOT stronger); the BIGGEST difference is in preparation.

He explained that in college the NCAA has very strict limitations on the amount of practice time you have. In college, you practice a play until the rules say it's time to stop. In the NFL, you practice until it's perfect; and then you practice another one.

This is a recording.

When the top 1A schools play the worst 1AA schools, it's not like every kid on the 1AA school gets hurt, and it's not like that 1AA school never has a chance to at least score points in the game. But those 1AA players are players that will never be as good as the players on the 1A school...VERY FEW of them have that talent.

Ohio State has many players with NFL talent...but not experience. And then they have a good number of players, that would need to play, that don't have NFL talent. The Radiers have a full 2-deep of NFL talent. Many of which have years and years of experience at playing at that speed.

Troy Smith would have to be in the shotgun all day, and would not have very much time to make decisions. We could NEVER run the football...and would likely never stop the run.

The Radiers could probably beat us without throwing a pass. Given how much heart Ohio State plays with, and how little the Radiers do, we may score. I think if the game were played the final score in the worst case for the Buckeyes would be something like 55-0. I don't think the Radiers could just air it out and score big play after big play...our defense is fast. But they'd just run the ball all day, control the clock and win easy. I think the best case scenerio is our passing game works in spurts...we get a couple big plays, and they make a few mistakes on offense and they only win 38-14...and that's with EVERYTHING going our way.
