Why is that? I'm not trolling, I'm genuinely interested.
Are we simply better at treating it than in April/May? More people catching an infection sooner and thus starting treatment sooner?

I would imagine experience and improved treatment is part of it, but I also think it's much harder to treat when spikes occur, even if places aren't overrun. When they're close to capacity with more cases coming in, it's probably just harder mentally and supply-wise to keep up.

Part of it may be younger people getting infected, I just see that as more of a passing thing rather than a long-term indicator. Either the virus has mutated and is less deadly, or it has to do with improved treatment and hospital strain.

Or both. I also continue to suspect that how big the viral load of one's initial exposure is matters. People who are getting smaller initial hits after being exposed while socializing outside during the warmer months may be getting less severe symptoms than those exposed indoors in confined spaces.

Dr Fauci has said there will be no "herd immunity". Virus burnout? That doesn't look like that will happen according to Dr Fauci. "Virus will be with us for a long time."
Virus burnout doesn't necessarily mean the virus will disappear, rather its spread will greatly decrease...and Fauci's opinion changes like the wind.

Yesterday's seven-day-moving-average (SDMA) of COVID deaths (576) is only 26% of the peak SDMA of 2,208 on April 21st, and only three times since June 2nd has a day's SDMA been higher than the previous day's SDMA (June 23rd was two higher than June 22nd, June 24th was one higher than June 23rd, and June 28th was two higher than June 27th).

The hospital doctors have said that their knowledge of treatment and organization of hospital facilities plus more PPE has seen a big improvement. They have been sharing knowledge across the world. Social Distancing and masks have had an impact also.

Coronavirus treatments are improving. Here’s a guide to what works and why.https://www.sltrib.com/news/2020/06/20/coronavirus-treatments/

And just as importantly. It's better get Covid later than sooner because the treatments keep improving.

No worries! You don't offend me. It's not like supporting a guy who doesn't care if Putin put a bounty on US troops. Thinks it's "just another hoax".
We've allowed some political comments to be made in this thread, but let's limit it to the coronavirus topic.

Please don't bring up other political issues into this thread.
