Just to show how fucked up Hawaii's government is:

Even The Auditor Can’t Get Contact Tracing Info From Hawaii DOH
Anderson specifically turned away offers of help in early May, when Hawaii had only one to two new cases per day and was preparing to open the local economy – with an eye on opening to tourists. Despite calls to hire a small army of contact tracers to stay ahead of the virus, Anderson said the department would be able to “surge from within” and had enough contact tracers to keep the virus contained in discrete clusters.

That didn’t happen, and now Hawaii has pervasive uncontrolled community spread on Oahu. There were 277 new cases reported statewide on Wednesday, 245 on Oahu.
They consider 250 cases a day on an island of 975,000 people a "pervasive uncontrolled community spread".

AG Won’t Release Information On COVID-19 Outbreak At Hawaii Jail
The Attorney General’s Office is blocking the release of information related to the COVID-19 outbreak at the state’s largest jail, citing security concerns and the threat of litigation in connection with what has emerged as the largest infection cluster in the state to date.
Kimo Cuomo, is that you?

Link please.

TIA.
The CDC’s revised testing recommendations a few days ago have been strongly objected to by the AMA and several other groups. They have fired two PR people in the last couple of days. Suggesting that asymptomatic people don’t need to be tested is sheer folly, one doesn’t need to be an epidemiologist to realize that.

Their credibility, in my opinion, has taken a major hit during this pandemic. They were widely considered the best public health agency in the world, and now their public statements and policy are inconsistent, confusing, and sometimes simply incorrect.

Has anyone considered we could be facing a new mutation of the COVID strain here? One that perhaps affects whole institutions at once? I ask because the B1G has been showing these exact same symptoms.

Ineptitude and corruption, while often similar in outcome, are not the same. Asked for a link because I thought that I may have missed a real (corruption) event... but if it’s nothing more than government incompetence... then it’s same old same old.

Thanks!

Revised CDC stats indicate that only 6% of covid deaths resulted solely from covid.

Fuck your fake pandemic.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/...dbTrmKwH1NdaBx6PpZo2kxotNwkUXlnbZXCwSRP2OmqsI

We destroyed the economy and wrecked millions of lives for fewer than 10,000 deaths, and based on people still freaking out about Covid those measures didn't even work.

Oh, that's right, if we hadn't done those things there would be bodies all over the streets - it's the plague all over again. :roll1:

The most common definition of corruption is something like ‘dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power’. Currently, I would say it’s a political opinion as to whether or not an organization’s loss of credibility due to pressure from the White House meets that definition.

But the second definition of ‘corruption’ could more easily be interpreted as having been met in that situation: ‘the process by which something, typically a word or expression, is changed from its original use or meaning to one that is regarded as erroneous or debased’.

I’m not suggesting that folks at the CDC have been bribed in order for inaccurate or misleading information to have been issued. But if that information is the result of political pressure which causes folks to believe their careers will be negatively impacted if they don’t act as those in power want them to, and/or will be positively impacted if they do, could be considered to be a ‘corruption’ of the integrity of the CDC, rather than simple incompetence.

i am not sick. i have zero symptoms. i am not going to have a claymore shoved up my nose for no real reason especially when the test itself has been proven to have many false positives.
i wear my mask, keep my distance and wash my hands. but I most certainly will NOT go get a test when I feel just fine.
