Not sure how everyone else feels, but I hope one big change comes out of this....

Are people going to go back to taking care of their parents again, or still dropping them off at the nursing home death chambers because they are a nuisance?

There, I said it.

Shady pines, ma.

So let's take a typical 2 income household when all of this is over;

Mom and Dada are at work all day
2.5 children are in school all day

What kind of care is granny getting at the house alone all day?

Just read a stat that 90% of the people who have Gym memberships still don't know the gyms are closed.

Not much of a surprise with the McGym model.

Very limited sample here, but my wife's gym is doing online video sessions and a friend of mine who owns a couple of gyms has 'signed out' equipment to a number of his members and is doing customized training for his clients.

Mind you, neither situation are the McGyms.

As with most things in life, it’s not a solution fits all by any means. A majority of nursing home patients don’t require 24 hour care. In home care is much cheaper than nursing home care for the most part as well. It is estimated that 30% of Covid deaths have happened in nursing homes. That’s enough to get my attention if I have an aging parent.

Agreed. And if a few barbershops don't make it, the other ones will pickup that business and need to hire new barbers. The demand is inelastic for a lot of these services -- there will be a reconfiguration and it will take time and suffering for some, but it will bounce back sooner rather than later.

And this isn't the aftermath of a war where the entire infrastructure is completely demolished. Everything is still in place to get back to business.

And not to downplay what is going on right now, but I truly believe that our country as a whole has no idea what true suffering is. We haven't had a full-blown war on this continent in 150 years. Other countries have gone through so much worse over the last century. And you know what they do? They fight through it and rebuild. London survived two months of bombings from the Luftwaffe --- this ain't shit.

I sure hope this one makes it.....:lol:

How many deaths will be "not bad" in your opinion? Give us a number.
JFC. Apparently you missed the word "considering". But hey, feel free to continue to overreact while bongin' out every day. Christ, you'd wear a fucking gas mask and hide under the bed if the government told you to.
