It wasn’t 4 hours later. It was a couple days later. https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brie...ool-baseball-coach-30-dies-of-coronavirus?amp

I read about this man in several articles today and it scared the hell out of me. It’s possible he had some sort of genetic code that enhanced the symptoms of the disease. But no one knows. This means anyone of us could die if we get it. We just don’t know nearly enough about what we are facing.
I can say it is possible that the virus gets into the brain stem, thus making the respiratory consequences more severe and unpredictable. Lots of research ongoing.

Seriously though. I allow myself one night of grass, wine on Thursday-Saturday and I have been trying to cook one new dish each week. Something I've never made before. Lotta casserole pics are incoming!

FWIW...

I was out and about in Shanghai today. Did a 46km ride through urban areas. I didn’t see any crowds on this scale. I wouldn’t quite use the word “packed”.

One thing to remember is that today is a National Holiday so it’s not uncommon for people to turn out for picnics, etc. But even at a popular local lake I only saw maybe a few hundred people. To be fair, I didn’t go to the Bund, probably Shanghai’s top tourist attraction, because I didn’t feel like getting sideways looks about “what is this foreigner doing out here...” lol

As the article mentions, as the number of “imported” cases goes up, though, museums that had opened are now closed again.

Having said all that, it’s fair to say that the Chinese government is as eager, or maybe even more, it seems, as the White House to get the economy started back up. Not a political statement...
