I have a friend who claims he is a great, etc grandson of William Wallace.

Rumor has it, i am also related to some guy tyrus knows!!

Oh, these are a bit less important but ya may know of them. Charles Gill was a 3 year letterman at OU and started on the only OU team ever to make the final four. His son Chad Gill was also a 4 year letterman for the bobcats.

Supposedly, according to my dad and paternal grandmother, Nathan Bedford Forrest, Confederate general and one of the founders of the KKK. Yeah, I kinda keep that on the Down Low here in the ATL. It's amusing, for a little while, to hear my dad try to explain that the Klan wasn't intended to be what actually happened, blah, blah, blah.

Reminds me of one time when I was drivng through georgia on my way to Spring Break with a Suburban that looked like a mobile Narcotics Unit... (Yeah... mescaline, high power blotter acid... the works...) and one dude who was a friend of a friend informed me that his Great-Great (etc) Grandfather was William Tecumseh Sherman....

Now,That's something to keep on the Down Low in Hotlanta... especially witha car full of drugs.

I'm supposedly related to Blue Jacket - provided that you believe that Blue Jacket was actually a white person adopted by the Shawnee and integrated into their society, and also provided that you believe that even if that's true, that my ancestor was actually the guy that became Blue Jacket as opposed to some other guy.

I'm pretty sure I'm related to this fella on my Uncle Frank's side of the family.

Well, I see the resemblance anyway, just give him a pipe and a glass of beer and he's the spitting image.

I do have a friend, Janet Bradford, who is a direct decedent to William Bradford. He of Plymouth colony, fame.

Bradford was one of the leaders of the English Puritan Separatists who we now call "The Pilgrims." This history was his personal journal, completed around 1650, after he had served some 35 years as governor of the colony.

Well, if it was completed in 1650 after 35 years as governor, he was already governor for 5 years when they spotted Plymouth Rock. :wink2:
