I guess to nobody?s surprise Jake?s guess of Copper Canyon Mexico is correct. As stated in original post, prizes to be awarded soon after I return home (probably Friday AM). Currently I?m in a hotel that happens to have free internet. Additional greenies if anyone can guess the city I?m in.

Clues; It was very ?caliente? today and I was in the ocean and/or sea this PM.

OK for more greenies....According to the guide that I had (and I think he is correct), how did Copper Canyon get it?s name?

From the green growth (moss, etc.) on the canyon walls that makes it look like copper ore.

OK for more greenies....According to the guide that I had (and I think he is correct), how did Copper Canyon get it?s name?

krazeyk got this one. I'm 100% sure that he "googled" for the answer since I actually posted the answer (same exact wording) in a Wiki Answer question site the day I asked the question. Stupid me!!! Anyway he still gets the greenies.
