Incredible game...I don't feel too bad about being on the losing side, that was a classic.
I absolutely HATE when Ohio State loses. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't like football so much, so I wouldn't be so f'in' PISSED when they lose. I had almost no desire to watch any games yesterday. I turned on the Browns game about halftime because I was curious, but no more then "ehh" came to mind.
But now that I've had almost 36 hours to calm down, I'd, also, like to extend congratulations to Texas. Whether it was Ohio State who beat Ohio State, or Texas who beat Ohio State (I'm not quite calm enough, yet, to rationally explain my feelings on that), Texas deserves the respect. I seriously believed that Ohio State was the #2 team in the country before that game, and that Texas was, at best, #3. And playing in The 'Shoe, Texas had no right leaving Columbus with their second win of the season. I now believe otherwise.
I wish Young luck in his Heisman campaign, for several reasons:
- I don't want Leinart to win a second Heisman. I don't want ANYONE to win a second Heisman, unless he plays for tOSU.
- I don't want Reggie Bush to win a Heisman, because he'd, also have a chance to win a second. Also, I'm tired of USC winning Heismans. Tell them to stop bogarting the Heismans.
- Third, if you're going to lose, at least lose to the best. It'll make it a little easier to swallow.
I wish Texas and their fans luck with the rest of the season, and, if they keep playing as they did Saturday, I'll be rooting for them to beat USC. And if USC doesn't make it, I think I'll root for Texas to beat almost anyone else who makes it to the Rose Bowl. Of course, if Ohio State can play Texas in the Rose Bowl, wouldn't that have the potential to be an unbelievable re-match?
