This is probably the first thread that should have been on the board after the game. Wanted to make sure it was here when the Texas fans who have added so much to our board the past weeks started arriving home and logging on.

Pretty much every aspect of your game was as advertised - including VY who is a legitimate Heisman candidate. We were loud but that did not have any serious effect that I could see. Your fans were classy.

Well done.

See you in Austin.

Loads of posters already expressed their congrats in the game thread, but I agree, the guys who have been here deserve to see it.

Best of luck Horns. Hopefully, we meet again for all of the marbles...and Roses.

I'll add my congrat's as well. You guys should be ecstatic that Brown did such a great job coaching in a "big game". VY is amazing, as we all knew, and your lines are even better than advertised, which is really saying something. I still have yet to meet a Texas fan who isn't full of class, respect, and knowledge.

Congrats Texas and there fans

you will win the big 12 very easily and play usc in the rose bowl for the title. 50/50 on that game winner

V.YOUNG reminds me of a warren moon/ m.vick combo which, is very scary.
Passer and runner to go with size and speed

Defense amazing

Congrats Texas... more importantly the Texas defense. While we knew the DLine was good the rest of their defense proved me wrong. Great game.

See ya in less than 4 months for the re-match in the Rose Bowl

Well, it was said that if VY was going to beat us, he'd have to do it with his arm. Mission accomplished. Great game, Longhorns - hope to make it to Austin next year for the rematch! (better yet, I hope the rematch is in Pasadena  )

Thanks for the congrats guys. Wow what a great weekend of partying and football! Sucks one of us had to lose that game as much as both teams and their fans put into it. I was blown away by the tailgating atmosphere and the stadium itself as well. I met a ton of great people from Ohio. Ohio Stadium is the coolest stadium I have ever been to. Come on down to Austin next September and we'll do it all again Texas style.

Incredible game...I don't feel too bad about being on the losing side, that was a classic.

I absolutely HATE when Ohio State loses. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't like football so much, so I wouldn't be so f'in' PISSED when they lose. I had almost no desire to watch any games yesterday. I turned on the Browns game about halftime because I was curious, but no more then "ehh" came to mind.

But now that I've had almost 36 hours to calm down, I'd, also, like to extend congratulations to Texas. Whether it was Ohio State who beat Ohio State, or Texas who beat Ohio State (I'm not quite calm enough, yet, to rationally explain my feelings on that), Texas deserves the respect. I seriously believed that Ohio State was the #2 team in the country before that game, and that Texas was, at best, #3. And playing in The 'Shoe, Texas had no right leaving Columbus with their second win of the season. I now believe otherwise.

I wish Young luck in his Heisman campaign, for several reasons:
- I don't want Leinart to win a second Heisman. I don't want ANYONE to win a second Heisman, unless he plays for tOSU.
- I don't want Reggie Bush to win a Heisman, because he'd, also have a chance to win a second. Also, I'm tired of USC winning Heismans. Tell them to stop bogarting the Heismans.
- Third, if you're going to lose, at least lose to the best. It'll make it a little easier to swallow.

I wish Texas and their fans luck with the rest of the season, and, if they keep playing as they did Saturday, I'll be rooting for them to beat USC. And if USC doesn't make it, I think I'll root for Texas to beat almost anyone else who makes it to the Rose Bowl. Of course, if Ohio State can play Texas in the Rose Bowl, wouldn't that have the potential to be an unbelievable re-match?
