Well, truth is we (and by that I mean every BKB) decided you don't really deserve any rep. :p



If the "plan" worked right :paranoid: J/K Like Sand said, it was a whole recalibration for everyone... I think it was something like dropping everyone by 90% or something...

the problem with the rep system is that it progressively grows out of control. The more users get that get close to the Rep Grad21 (Current Rep leader) has, the more rep is put out there, the more power is afforded future reps ... and so on... and so on... until everyone has maxed out medals. The last time this happened, people like 21, Mili, BB73, Me and a number of others had enough "rep stick" to give or take a whole medal. It's not that bad now, but I've noticed a number of users' medals creeping across the screen... so...

Anyway, like I said... I have no idea if this is right... just a guess.

Why is it a bad thing when people besides you guys have a lot of rep?

Okay, if what you are "guessing" is correct, than why is it a limited to a select few, who just happen to be an enteracting circle of friends??

Well, somehow the system "lost" the Troy Smith thread, and "we" (mainly Clarity) were able to restore it in its entirety. I imagine that we can do the same thing with your reps....

In the mean time, I really don't think that it's such a big deal. I don't judge other BP'ers by their "rep" or their "Buckeye leaves", but rather by the quality of their posts, and I'm sure that most others here feel the same way. There's a reason why you guys had all of that rep in the first place, and that's because you have earned the respect of the BP community over a long period of time. So, you still have your "reputations", so to speak, it just doesn't show up in the form of Buckeye leaves, if you know what I mean....

Everything will work out in the end.

At least for me, i dont really care about the leaves or the greenies (dont get me wrong, they are nice), it just seemed like it was happening to a certain group of us; and it was like someone was delibirately doing it.

I see... No, I didn't mean that the issue was someone getting close to Grad, or anyone else... I was using him as the example of the person with the most rep, because in fact he is. I thought you were around for the recal, so I figured you understood what I was talking about.

Anyway... If this were the case (that someone getting close to someone elses rep was the issue), I'm sure it would be C-dog in the lead... and on this point, I'm sure 21 would agree.

Appreciate the input, and I do appreciate the respect I have and give to others at BP. I was just upset because it seemed as if this group of individuals was singled out and targeted. I mean I know that there is a group of Mods on here who are all good friends and that is great, that is what a place like BP should do, bring together people from all walks of life that all have a single thing in common, a love for the Buckeyes. That being said, if those individuals were to all the sudden one day all lose their rep that that had achieved, I guarantee none of them would be happy about it either. Especially if it were only them who were affected. I hope you see my point here. It's about more than just the Buckeye Leaves, it's about feeling singled out and targeted and for lack of a better term "fucked with." I was proud of my leaves, to me it showed a level of commitment to BP as well, and showed new members and such that these were people who knew their way around BP and had respected opinions.

For sure, there should be nobody here with more "Rep" than Clarity. I tried to revive that movement that grad21 had started a while back. I hope you see it from my (and others affected) point of view though as well. No one would have a problem with a recal, as long as it affected everyone.
