Computer speaker issue

Thump

Hating the environment since 1994
  • I lost the sound in the speaker that does not have the volume control and power button on it.

I went and bought new computer speakers and still have the same problem.

    Any ideas?

I've gone into settings to make sure I didn't mess up the balance on the speakers but it's right in the middle where both speakers should be giving out the same amount of sound.

Just found out that the speakers work fine when I use the iTunes player but only one speaker works when I use my Winamp player.

Sounds like your sound card is outputting mono sound instead of stereo (1 vs 2-sides). Re-installing the sound card driver, or updating it, might do the trick.

    Just figured it out.

Must have absolutely bumped the balance setting on the Winamp player.

    Forgot it even had one.

    D'oh!!! :smash:
