Columbus, the new Seattle

DaytonBuck

I've always liked them
I've only lived in two places my life Dayton and Columbus. It seems since Winter 04-05 that it rains like Seattle in the fall and winter here. Growing up in Dayton I can't remember raining at all or ever past October. There's nothing more ridiculous or depressing than dreary cold raining January day in Columbus.

I love living in Columbus.. where else can you walk into any given establishment and have OSU stuff all over the place... for instance... the Kroger I shop at has a Donatos inside the store, passing by the premade pizzas for people to take home I noticed the pepperonis were in the shape of a Block O... little things like that make me so glad I live here.

Having been stationed (1967 - 68) at Fort Lewis, 60 miles south of Seattle and right on Puget Sound, I can tell you that we have had nothing like Seattle weather. I arrived 1 December, saw the sun for the first time for one hour at 17:15 hours on 24 December and did not see it again until 15 February... a week of sun... and then it did not appear in the sky until mid April. Suck it up and count yourself sunny side up.
