Agree... to blame this on the musicians is a joke. Every single member of the board is the problem! The infighting, bringing in top notch (read expensive) guest talent, the "my way or the highway" attitude (some donors were willing to give big bucks... read multi millions... if a certain conductor was brought back).
The bottom line is the spending was high, and attendance and donations have been lower each year the last couple of years...
