The Buckeyes stay atop the Coaches Poll in Week 2.
In what seemed to be a tough week for anybody ranked in the top 25, Ohio State (unsurprisingly) remained the top team in the Amway Coaches Poll once again this week, after a sluggish 38-0 win over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. The Buckeyes received 62 of 63 first place votes, with 1 going to Alabama, who defeated Middle Tennessee State this past week.
Michigan State jumped to No. 4 after a big home win against Oregon, who fell to No. 13. After struggling with FCS foe Jacksonville State, Auburn found themselves falling to No. 15. Tennessee fell out of the top 25 after a close contest with Oklahoma, as well as Arkansas, who lost to Toledo at home. Boise State also fell out of the top 25 after a loss at BYU, who made their top 25 debut at No. 22. Northwestern also cracked the rankings at No. 24, giving the Big Ten four teams in the top 25.
