College Football Playoff (2016-2017 Season)

This.

I truly do not understand how not one of these idiot talking heads has said "Ummm... Penn State has two losses, Ohio State has one"

In other news, and I noticed this last night during his interview, Franklin wasn't lobbying or bitching and didn't have a negative thing to say about Ohio State in any way. Even today, his responses to the questions were fine. He rightly said differing minds can reach differing decisions. Just sayin, for a guy that's been an asshat before, he seemed to be toeing the company line the last two days.

Someone in Happy Valley... Franklin, the admistation, the PR staff... someone... paid very close attention to what happened in the media following our game with tsun last week and made a very big point with that program that, under no circumstances are they to do anything or say anything that is diplomatically inappropriate. Even their kids after the game toed the "in the hands of the committee" party line almost as though it was scripted.

Not saying that was a bad thing. They come off looking very good doing so. They did everything that they could do to make it and left their resume in the stack on the hiring managers desk. It just wasn't good enough to get called back for an in-person interview.

you could tell Franklin was disappointed but he knows they almost had to give it to WSH, and he was very professional. Petersen looked super relieved because he knows their weaknesses and he knows at least 4 of the other top teams would beat them

go watch the last 10 washington games in succession and you'll change your opinion. they can obviously do it in one game because anything can happen if Bama doesn't show up and a lot of things go their way, but they are monster, MONSTER underdogs at every unit for very good reason

Look at Bama's losses in the last few years. They were all shootouts. I think that Washington is the team that can do that to them. I am probably in the minority here but I think UW can do to Saban what Oklahoma did a few years ago.
I think they don't gain an inch on the ground. But that passing attack will find plenty of opportunities against the Alabama secondary.

Not sure about the Tide offense vs. Washington D. Either way, I'm with you on the shootout here.

I hope so for two reasons:

1. I like to watch good football
2. The Pedsters will be all over the internet whining about how they should've been picked
