College Fantasy Football Draft Rosters

You have to remember that Leach's best two seasons have been with seniors.

Harrell is not a senior and hasn't had the same experience as the last TTU QBs.

Brady Quinn is and was the #1 QB on the board, btw, not Harrell no matter what.

Pinnix was just such a stretch... Kenny Irons is decent. Rice and Hart won't do shit.

 I didn't take Pinnix.

Rice and Filani were both top 10 receivers using last year'ss scoring systems.

This will be the year Hart stays healthy and he will lead scUM back to glory. By glory, I mean 9-3, which is much better than 7-5.

And Harrell will be fine. I guar-ahn-teeee it.

In 2003 Symons had 5800+ yds, 52 TDs, and 22 ints
In 2004 Cumbie had 4700+ yds, 32 TDs, and 18 ints
In 2005 Hodges had 4200+ yds, 31 tds, and 12 ints
Even if Harrell dropoffs from last year, which IMO he won't, he'll still put up about 4000 yards, 30 tds, and 15 ints. And the top 3 receivers all return.

Last year Quinn had 3900 yds, 32 tds, and 7 ints. And he loses Stovall and Fasano. Only two returning palyers had more than 100 yards receiving. Getting McKnight back will help, but we'll have to wait and see how much.

At the end of the year, they'll probably be pretty comparable.

The only issue with Harrell is will he hold off the younger more highly touted QBs. That was the only thing that kept him from being higher ranked on more board at least.

Troy Smith was the #1 QB on more board with Quinn right behind him. Then Harrell.

Bush was #1 RB on my board and loved him being there at #6.

You can laugh at me for Pinnix but Minnesota just plugs in RBs and he is their #1. Give me the same production as Maroney last year and he is a steal. And remember Maroney's numbers last year suffered because they had a 2nd RB steal many of his TDs. This is not the case this year with Pinnix so I am plugging in less yards than Maroney but more TDs. Still, a steal in Round 3 if you ask me.

Also watch out for Micah Andrews. In the one game he played (because Barclay was injured) he rushed for over 200 yards and a few TDs. Gotta love option offenses

But I will concur that I do like BB36's team. The McFadden injury is still early and we don't know how that will affect his team, but still he has some good ball players there.

How are y'all gonna use your bench?

As in... When are you going to sub them in? When your star is playing a tough D? or when your bench RB is playing Montana State? Or will you always keep your star in in hopes of that 250 yard, 3TD game?

Piney hit the nail on the head. I honestly don't think Harrell will be the starting QB by mid-season. For your sake, I hope he is...but I didn't want to draft him because of that.

First off be wary of bye-weeks. They are still out there. Especially for SEC, ACC & Big East teams.

Second you have to exploit matchups. If your 2nd RB is against Ohio State (or another tough run Defense) would you really start him over your 3rd RB that is going against Indiana, Kentucky or Baylor?

My team is now a good example. All 3 of my QBs are interchangeable. All of them are capable of a 350+ yards & 3-4 TD day. I just have to pick which matchups are best. Will I be wrong? Yep, but I a betting I will be right more than I am wrong.

I'm starting to feel pretty good about my team now. I have solid depth everywhere except kicker but Crosby has no bye week and he's not coming out. I have no QB to back up Smith right now but he's not coming out of the lineup either. The only starter that has a bye week is Jarrett and those are going to be important points lost. I can plug in a RB for the slot position and play two WR's three RB's that week or put in a backup WR that week depending on matchups.

When I drafted I tried to make my team exactly how I wanted them and didn't worry about "who the best left on the board was", hence drafting Crosby so early. In doing so I got the #2 QB, #1 WR, #5 RB, #1 K, and #2 & #3 Def/ST on my board. My #3 RB was drafted just before my pick so I went with my gut on McFadden #5. Evidently my guts have shit for brains! If Ringer has the season I think he will have then when McFadden gets healthy I'll be in good shape. Forsett also will get a lot of carries and with the possibilities of injuries still out there who knows.

I will go back and assess everyone else's draft, imo, once we are done.

Four Cryami players suspended for their first game. I don't feel so bad about McFadden now. Starting RB, starting WR, backup WR, and starting LB out. That hurts anyone having Miami players for week one.

10-7 game last year. Oh yeah I would start FSU's defense that first game. I probably would have started Miami's as well but not sure now. Either way I'll be starting South Florida that week so its not bothering me at all.
