Coaching Changes.. Hoo - Ra!

LOL

EDIT: Well.. the only movement seems to be the hiring of Zook and Meyer so far...

EDIT: Utah has now lost both it's Head Coach (Meyer Florida) and offensive coordinator (Sanford UNLV)

I heard some sound bites from Zook's acceptance speech. He said something like, "he was glad to be a part of the Illinoise football program" He actually pronounced the es sound in Illinoi"s". In the background, you could hear somebody correct him in a stage whisper.

What made it more funny, the news guy on the local channel immediately said, "What a piece of work."

It is unbelievable how many people still say the S in Illinois just here in Ohio... and they take offense when you try to correct them like you're an idiot or something... lol

EDIT: Kyle Whittingham to Utah.

EDIT: Added new coaches at stanford, washington, and ND... added open position at Pitt.

EDIT: Brent Guy to Utah State.

EDIT: Bill Cubit to Western Michigan

Whew! So many changes!

The Pac 10 is certainly making a LOT of strong coaching moves in the last couple years. Even if Chow never leaves USC, I think they will not be able to dominate the conference like the have for the past 3 years.

Carroll
Tedford
Harris
Willingham (I don't think he's a bad coach)
Belotti
Mike Stoops
Koetter (ASU coach is doing fairly well)
Riley - meh, OK

That's quite a bit of coaching pedigree in the Pac 10 - a hell lot better than it was a few years ago.

I still believe the Big 10 will be better top to bottom, but the Pac 10 will no longer be USC and the rest of the league... They may actually have to beat more than one decent team a year to make the NC. Not to mention if Weis can turn ND around... I think USC's dominance is quickly coming to an end.
