Coaches/players/stats gurus! Input?

Folks,

I'm doing something of a study for a project that I'm working on and need some input from those of you that might have at one time been middle or high school coaches, players, or are otherwise obsessed with sports statistics.

Basically, what do coaches track when going through the season when it comes to players?
Do they time players in the 40 for example once a year? Once a month? A week?
How closely do they track their performance in the weight room?
Those sorts of things...

Thanks for any information provided, it is very much appreciated.

When I was in high school (4 years ago) we only ran the 40 once, maybe twice a year during the offseason.

The off season weight program was well monitored though. We recorded everything we did in the weight room on sheets that specified our workouts for that day if we lifted 3 times a week we might have 3 different workout sheets for each day, all that varied in terms of the lifts that we did. The weight and how many reps we did in each specific lift was recorded and turned in at the end of the workout

Might look something like this..

I agree. I mentioned it about a year ago when Wilson and Day were hired. It really is a sick amount of coaching talent.
