Would imagine it would be hard to get a superstar coach to leave a comfortable gig, to take a team that just tanked their coach, without a hefty incentive to leave. The corporate football mind used to be, to give a coach three years to make it into a winner, but don't believe that's the case any longer. What do you believe it will take Matt Ruhl to leave Nebraska for PSU? He's got that program on the upswing, but has admitted his love for PSU, the AD, and probably the dirt on which PSU resides. Does Nebraska up the ante, give him more cash, AND a big buy-out, should/when the donors/fans/administration fall out of love with him? (kinda looking forward to when Raiola moves on). And (absolutely zero knowledge here), figuring PSU has more and better donors, to woo him to 'come home' to his alma mater for an increased payday. Dunno, but it's a great place to be in. Cignetti has also been mentioned, but don't see a home-tie incentive other than more money.
