Got this in an email today. That's ONE way to get students to come to a campus event (besides free food).
COACH TRESSEL TO HEADLINE STUDENT RALLY OCT. 11
-- Ohio State Head Football Coach Jim Tressel will headline an all-
student rally to support the It's Abuse Movement from 7-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday (10/11) in the West Ballroom of the Student Union. Also
present will be WBNS 10TV Anchor Andrea Cambern. Enjoy free food
and drink, music, free t-shirts and stuff, an awesome door prize raffle,
and a chance to meet and hear Coach Tressel. Don't forget to check out
the video blog booth, the 12 foot Black Wall, and oh yeah, did we say
free food and drink? Visit http://ItsAbuse.com for more details.
In addition, the It's Abuse campaign introduced this quarter at OSU to
help stop relationship abuse is looking for volunteers in all areas to
grow the movement to a national model for other campuses to adopt.
It's the perfect way to get involved in a meaningful movement and also
build your resume at the same time. The campaign is looking for
volunteer actors, bloggers, Web site managers, marketing and publicity
committee members, special event organizers, promoters, and student
leaders (to publicly represent the campaign). For details, contact 223-
1111 or visit www.ItsAbuse.com.
