on potential alone, yeah, he would be.

It's the equivalent to LeBron coming out when he was in high school. This is just a man among boys, but even on another level.
uh no he wouldn't. Remember he is dominating high school kids. Let's not go overboard....

They'd still take Bowers or Fairley.

Lebron plays a sport where greatly undersized players can still excel (Durant), and well developed teenagers are as big and athletic as their pro counterparts.

Funny how with all that talent he couldn't beat little old Myrtle Beach and their pass first offense last week. Everett Golson took the game over and oh yea, the mighty first defensive end taken in this years draft got doubled in the second half by a 5'6" 170 lbs. running back and neutralized. Go figure. It is a team sport after all. Don't get me wrong, he is impressive but he's not draft-able at this point. There's a chance this kid may never pan out.

Eh, I'm a Golson fan too...but he didn't take over that game.

The MB defense won that game. Like you said, its a team game...Everett's happened to be better that night but that doesn't take away from Clowney's game either.

Uh, no. He's 2-3 years of elite college-level S&C training away from being first-round NFL-ready.

Not even in the same solar system. The physicality in the NFL is way tougher for a HS kid to ever handle. You simply cannot compare the NBA to the NFL in terms of physical requirements.

This Everett Colson fellow sounds like a real winner. Strange his name has never come up before. It's a good thing we have Daxton Killer though, so no need to worry.

Nothing like singing somebody's praises and getting their name wrong.

True, but you have to respect a player that has the speed and quickness of Larry Sanders and the arm strength of Stan Madrino.

Um Yea, we didn't play South Point in last years playoffs as they were a 4A Div2 team and we are a 3A team. They bumped down a division this year. Also Everett is not 5'11" 170, that was his measurables the summer before his junior year. He's every bit of 6'1" 185 now, and I too predict he will be a star at South Bend. At least he got that part right.
