Cleveland Indians (2011 Season)

This team is crashing back to earth...hard. They are clearly the best of the middle tier teams, but if they catch good teams (TB, BOS, NYY, TEX, LAA) when they are playing well, they don't really stand much of a chance of taking more than one game. Still, taking one game in those series will still be enough if they can keep pounding the middle and lower tier teams when they get the chances to do so.

Well... its all about how they react, right? Anyone's gonna have a tough time on the road against a top level team... so... getting one game does need to be the goal here. Limit the damage. ANd they need to find some offense... fast. It's not like (other than the Boston rout) that the pitching has been terrible... got to find a way to scratch and claw and stay in these games. They can't get to the point where a 3 or 4 run deficit early is insurmountable, too much pressure on the pitchers... the offense has just been dead, need to get something going, I like the lineup switch, but, doesn't much matter where they are if no one is doing anyhting... Hafner better be getting happy endign massages twice a day on that oblique.

I think you're overreacting a bit....the Indians are going to struggle when they run into a gauntlet of pitchers this good. This is more about bad luck and how the rotations fell than anything else.

Serously, look at the schedule and the arms they are about to face over the next 10 days. We'd be lucky to play .35 baseball....
