With the bat, he's pretty much a finished product, his defense still needs work. Just look at Phelps' struggles and you'll see why he's not in Cleveland yet.3074326;1949748; said:No way they trade Kipnis imo. On a related note, I'm pretty sure I read that he batted .500 last week. Would love to see him in Cleveland.

If they trade Valbuena, whoopty-[censored]. Even if Ludwick is a bust, we broke even. But Kearns is [Mark May], to the point that a blind wartfrog would be better in right.
AKAKBUCK;1949769; said:I don't think there's any "enamoration" (I like it) - its just a question of who is or might be available. As far as I can tell yoyoyoyoyoyin has pretty much the whole list of obvious candidates. (the problem with trading with teams that suck, is they have sucky players) So, Ludwick has been kicked around. Cabrera and Francouer aren't needed long term by the Royals and the Mets don't want to get nothing for Beltran (and probably Jason Bay too) but those guys make a PILE of coin.
Who can you part with? Valbuena, sure... Crowe, probably... LaPorta? Dunno, depends how much 1st you want Smooth to play down the road.
I suppose you could just get weird and offer the Orioles a bag of chips and a couple fungos for Vlad Guerrero and Derrek Lee. (That presumes Vlad can actually still play in the OF, I don't know that answer)
Kipnis, Chis, Phelps... aren't getting moved.
Now, some lower level guys for a player with more than the rest of the year on his deal? Maybe. Will the Dodgers need to move some guys? And I'm not talking about Casey Blake... crap... you could probably get Casey Blake uber cheap.
I'm sure some more names will come up....
Bucklion;1949776; said:Yeah, no, I think yoyo has the right list...there just isn't much out there. The Dolans will never take a contract like Bay's even though he might play better in a park that is not designed specifically to stop him like the Mets' is. Guerrero is a horrible idea, he can't field and we already have a DH that can't field, Derek Lee is so far over the hill the sun is blocked out, and Casey Blake...is Casey Blake. Who else is out there on [Mark May][censored] teams...Carlos Lee? I dunno, there ain't much. As for parting with LaPorta, I'm all for it, but Shapiro will never allow it, because it will signify he is admitting how stupid he is.
