Cleveland Guardindians 2024 (Thread of Apathy)

My worry is the bullpen running out of gas. They’ve been lights out so far but They are getting a lot of usage with the shaky rotation and I doubt we see that usage slow down. The offense is definitely encouraging though
They won't be alone. Starters making it past the 5th inning is becoming a rarity. There are going to be a lot of gassed bullpens by June across the country.

They have the best record in baseball, and we're looking forward to the draft already. Most Cleveland thing ever.
There was an article in the Cleveland paper this morning. I did not realize this is the first time they ever had the first overall pick.

And I am totally okay with talking about the Guardians draft if it means I don't have to hear about the clowns...as much.

Really tight weekend series. Tribe is a great team this year

While moral victories are usually a crappy way to look at it, I'd hope this gives the team a confidence boost. In baseball momentum and the right mindset are huge over the course of a long season. This should show them that they can compete with one of the clear top teams in the league. No matter if some of Atlanta's big hitters were slumping or not, if you told me before the series that the names of Tyler Beede, Pedro Avila, and Ben Lively would pitch in a combined 8.2 innings over the series, I'd figure Cleveland was in BIG trouble. They showed a lot of fight and narrowly took 2 of 3.

They can definitely compete I think it's obvious at this point. They gotta learn from the mistakes of that 3rd game vs ATL though, those base running woes in extras are unforgiveable, especially if they happen during real make or break time later in the season.
