This. And despite his not awesome post season performance we should probably not have Ramirez. And wouldn't have clase without an early lockup. (Thats a bigger point) Without them there's no postseason.

I can't believe I am writing this, but we need starting pitching help.

I seriously need someone to help me understand how we went from what seemed like an abundance of starting pitchers in our minor league system to an empty cupboard.

It will be interesting to see how much Antonetti taps into the position players in the minors for any starting pitching trades over the winter. However, I have a feeling they trade for minor leaguers as starters at the big league level are so expensive.

Starting pitching became an issue this year for sure but the larger issue is still the offense. In this era you need basically a whole lineup that is at least somewhat a threat to crank home runs, we just don’t have close to that.
