Despite leaving a ungodly amount of runners on base and going 2/19 with RISP in the first 11 innings (with 1 of the hits being a accidental bunt for hit when trying to push a runner over) The Guards explode for 6 runs in the 12th to take game 1 @ the Yankees. What a wild game

Currently this is not a team that is going to pull off winning the division. Heck with the remaining schedule there's probably a solid chance they could slide completely out of the playoffs.
After winning the shit show of game 1 vs the Yankees, they get outscored 14-1 in the next 2 games, including getting 1 hit today.
They've scored 3 or fewer runs in 11 of the last 15 games. Offense has hit rock bottom and they are showing no signs of recovery.
Their "big" deadline pickup Lane Thomas has been hot garbage. Guy is 7/60 (.116) at the plate since joining the team. The front office did absolutely nothing to improve the team and that strategy is starting to really backfire.
The Twins and Royals are now both just 2 games back. This team could easily be in 3rd place by this time next week.

Back to 3 games up on both MIN/KC after winning 2 against the Rangers. Massive 4 game set with the Royals starts tomorrow with a double header

Looks like for the DH game 1 will be a bullpen game with Sandlin starting and game 2 Logan allen is starting. That’s not having me very confident

Offffffff course, this team used up all their positive breaks early in the season.
Lose game 1 4-3
They tied the game at 3 in the bottom of the 7th then promptly gave up a leadoff HR in the 8th that lost the game.
