Cleveland Guardians (2026 Season Thread)

I mean to win the alcs or ws you just gotta be .571.

The most important thing I have learned in these 2 games is basically they're not better than us and we're the ones that stile a game not them.

Tampas lineup really isn't scary at all. Caminero can take you deep but he's very exploitable as we have seen a decent amount already this series.

We really cannot afford the give them free runs though. Especially on nights when our offense isn't on.

Guardians-Rays Game 3 has new first-pitch time due to rain forecast

Akron Beacon Journal
Updated Oct. 14, 2026, 12:42 p.m. ET

The Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays have a new first-pitch time for Game 3 of the ALCS, as Mother Nature is now becoming a key character in the series.
The Guardians won Game 1 of the ALCS but then dropped Game 2 at Tropicana Field, leaving the series tied 1-1 as it heads to Cleveland.
But the local forecast looks troublesome for the next few days, and it has impacted Game 3, which now has a scheduled first-pitch time of 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15. The original start time was 6 p.m. but with incoming inclement weather, MLB decided to move the game up five hours.
Weather is also possible for Games 4 and 5 in Cleveland, so additional changes could be on the horizon (along with the rain).

I can't say enough that I fucking hate, fucking HATE, 2-3-2. It should be 2-2-1-1-1. Because now, we can't throw Big Rig twice at home. Yes, we could "close out the series at home" but only by winning 3 straight, which is not at all likely against a solid team with goblins at the back of the bullpen like the Rays have. So we will get Big Rig only twice in this series, and once will potentially be a closeout game, but on the road instead of here where he gets the crowds in a frenzy like Game 5 was.

Needless to say, his start in Game 3 is a must win.

Well. Except I have to work. And its my second to last day on the job because I resigned so that means I am going to reserve myself a conference room and watch on my big screen with the shades drawn and the light off
