Offense stumbles into 4 runs and Gavin Williams goes out and has his worst start of the year when he was needed most. I think it's safe to say that this season is about cooked. Team won't be anywhere close to .500 in the time it takes everyone to get healthy

Journeyman AAA lacky Stuart Fairchild had struck out 11 times in 15 at bats since being called up from AAA. Is that bad?

Soul crushing loss tonight. This team already has zero margin for error with the injuries but a gut punch like that is liable to start a complete tailspin

Think Vogt is trying his best to drift into bad coach territory
He's been not very good at situational managing this year.
Last night he fucking used Stuart Fairchild as a pinch hitter. Who is 3/19 with 14 strikeouts in those 19 ABs for Daniel Schneeman who has the ability to maybe accidentally hit a HR in a 1 run game late in the game. Fairchild struck out looking at a pitch right down the middle. You have to be able to recognize to throw the traditional Left/Right sub out the window when the guy you are subbing is completely awful no matter who is pitching.
