Cleveland Guardians (2026 Season Thread)

I was shocked to see the batting average for Jose. Hopefully his bat warms up as the weather improves.
It's always a safe bet to bet against the Dominicans and South American players early on in the season when it's still cold. He'll heat up when the weather does.

The unicorn for all that is Miggy, he typically hit no matter the temperature.

So my guess is that becwe can't have nice things on offense we'll just alternate between Kayfus and Manzardo slumping and hot.

I sincerely hope we'll see a bunch of Brito, Bazanna and they'll be rookies. Box of chocolates. Same with Chase but... with 28 dingers.

Thats like 5 239 BAs.

Which might be ok if its enough scary 239.

239 is a sizeable upgrade over what Arias gives.

Love what I've seen from the rotation so far....I think Gavin is an ace and Cantillo and Messick can create a solid 2/3. Bibee and Slade on the back end....I like Bibee but mentally he's just not there, frustrating to watch him take himself out of the game sometimes. Hopefully that improves as he ages, but he's his biggest enemy.

Sabrowski - still a stud and so underrated

Man, if Gaddis and Walters get healthy this pitching staff can be elite.

Brito has impressed so far, his glove always sucks though so that will be his growing pain. Bazzana is next guy up if another injury hits.

Lastly - awesome to see Hedges hitting better after improving his bat speed. Soooo much better behind the plate than Naylor, who has no idea what to challenge. I had hope his end of 2025 would carry over but it's not....Ingles can't get here soon enough, he's hitting .389 with a .633 OBP in Cbus, I don't care if it's 8 games, I want it!
